Position Summary
We are urgently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to join a leading IT firm based in Mumbai.
This is a high-impact, revenue-generating role reporting directly to the CEO.
The BDM will be responsible for driving aggressive sales growth by promoting and selling our portfolio of IT products and services within the Mumbai market.
This role is ideal for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is motivated by direct contribution to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Sales and Revenue Generation
- Market Penetration: Lead the charge to promote and sell the company's full range of IT products and services across the Mumbai region.
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate new leads and business opportunities through a diversified approach, including focused market research, professional networking, targeted cold calling, and leveraging referrals.
- Target Achievement: Take full responsibility for setting and achieving ambitious sales targets and revenue goals on a consistent basis, demonstrating a sound understanding of business planning.
Sales Cycle Management
- End-to-End Ownership: Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial lead qualification through to final execution. This includes preparing detailed quotations, securing purchase orders, coordinating successful project execution, and ensuring timely payment collection.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) and internal technical and delivery teams to ensure smooth operational alignment and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence and Professional Development
- Market Expertise: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the current IT landscape, prevailing market trends, competitor activities, and evolving customer needs.
- Solution Selling: Utilize strong communication skills and a solid business understanding of IT products and associated domains to craft compelling and customized solutions for potential clients.
- Continuous Learning: Continuously enhance professional knowledge and expertise by actively attending industry seminars, webinars, and pursuing self-learning opportunities.
Minimum Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in IT Service Sales is mandatory.
- Qualification: Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an MBA is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in setting and achieving sales targets, excellent negotiation skills, and robust communication abilities.
- Location: Based in Mumbai, with required client/field visits (this is a field job).
- Availability: Immediate joiners are highly preferred.
