Business Development Manager - Investment Banking
Description:
Job Summary
The role is responsible for driving business development initiatives within the investment banking domain and fostering long-term client relationships.
The incumbent will support origination efforts by identifying prospective clients, conducting detailed industry and company research, preparing financial and valuation analyses, and developing pitch materials and mandate documentation.
The position also involves assisting in transaction execution and managing internal reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with senior team members on deal origination, including meetings with promoters, senior management, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, sector analysis, and competitive assessments.
- Prepare comprehensive company profiles, financial models, valuation analyses, and business development pitch books.
- Support the investor targeting strategy and assist in managing the roadshow process.
- Build, manage, and nurture strong client and investor relationships to ensure long-term engagement.
- Assist in transaction execution and coordination with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports, dashboards, and management review materials.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel extensively across India to engage with clients, investors, and regulatory authorities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: MBA (Finance/Marketing), CA, CS, or CFA preferred.
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in deal origination, client acquisition, or business development, ideally within financial services or investment banking.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEBI, Companies Act, and Income Tax regulations.
- Exposure to capital market services such as IPOs, QIPs, Open Offers, Buybacks, Delistings, and other investment banking products.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical, networking, and interpersonal abilities.
- Professional presence, persuasive communication, and client-facing confidence.
- High degree of self-motivation and willingness to travel extensively
