Position: Business Development Manager - Payroll (Indian Payroll)

About the Role:


Prime Hire Inc is seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in Indian payroll management. This role combines expertise in payroll processing, statutory compliance, and client relationship management with a strategic focus on expanding our payroll business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:


- Lead end-to-end payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness in salary disbursement for Indian payroll clients.

- Manage compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory regulations including PF, ESI, TDS, professional tax, and other statutory filings.

- Conduct regular audits and resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently to maintain client satisfaction and data integrity.

- Identify and target potential clients across industries.

- Conduct lead generation and qualification through market research.

- Pitch payroll solutions via presentations and demos.

- Negotiate and close deals effectively.

- Oversee smooth client onboarding.

Client Ownership & Relationship Management:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.

- Align payroll solutions with client-specific needs.

- Ensure client satisfaction and handle escalations.

Revenue Growth & Cross-Selling:

- Drive new revenue through sales and renewals.

- Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities (e.g., HRMS, tax filing).

- Achieve individual and team sales targets.

- Expand service portfolio within existing accounts.

- Track performance against KPIs.

Qualifications:


- 5 + of experience in payroll management and business development, preferably within the Indian market.


- In-depth knowledge of Indian payroll laws, compliance requirements, and statutory filings.

- Proven track record in managing client relationships and delivering payroll services at scale.

- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and project delivery.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
