
Role Type: Individual Contributor (Field Sales)
About the Role: We are hiring a Business Development Manager to handle Government and PSU IT solution sales. This role is completely field-based and focused on generating and closing business on your own.
What You Will Do:
- Identify and develop business with Government departments, PSUs, and semi-government organizations.
- Meet government clients and decision-makers regularly.
- Work on tenders, RFPs, RFQs, and GeM portal opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal technical teams to prepare proposals.
- Present and sell IT solutions (not hardware or ERP products).
- Close small to mid-size government IT projects.
- Achieve assigned individual sales targets.
Solutions You Will Sell:
- Digital transformation solutions.
- Cloud-based solutions.
- AI / ML and Data Analytics solutions.
- Big Data platforms.
- Mobile and Web Application development solutions. (Technical knowledge is not required, but experience selling these solutions is mandatory)
Who Can Apply (Mandatory):
- 5-7 years of experience in Government / PSU IT solution sales.
- Experience handling tendering and government procurement processes.
- Strong client-facing and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to close government deals independently.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
