Position: Business Development Manager - Government Business

Overview:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager - Government Business to lead and coordinate large-scale government projects. This role acts as a strategic bridge between the sales, tender operations, and market intelligence teams, ensuring seamless project execution and alignment with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead end-to-end execution of large government tenders and projects, ensuring compliance and timely delivery.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare, review, and submit high-quality bid proposals.

- Monitor project milestones, risks, and deliverables throughout all lifecycle stages.

- Partner with sales teams and product specialists to align project goals with broader sales and business strategies.

- Drive cross-functional coordination to ensure tender readiness and smooth post-award execution.

- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, opportunities, and competitor activity.

- Provide data-driven insights to shape tender strategies and business development roadmaps.

- Stay abreast of government procurement policies, GeM processes, and regulatory updates.

- Lead strategic planning for tender bids and pipeline management.

- Support post-tender activities including contract administration, performance tracking, and evaluation.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Management, or a related field.

- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, sales, or government tendering.

- In-depth understanding of government procurement frameworks (e.g., GeM, 3PP).

- Proven ability to manage complex projects and work within structured governance frameworks (e.g., RACI).

- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Proficiency in project management tools and reporting systems.

- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
