Business Development Manager (BDM) - Engineering Services (US Market)(Auto/Transportation)

Position Overview:

InOpTra Inc. seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive sales of automotive engineering services targeting US OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers. Based in Bengaluru, India, this role focuses on Embedded Systems, IT Solutions, Connectivity (HIL/SIL), and Product Design Services. The position requires 40-50% US travel for client meetings and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute US market strategy for automotive services including Embedded Software, IT Integration, HIL/SIL testing, and Product Design achieving $2M+ annual pipeline.

- Build relationships with US automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers through targeted outreach and travel.

- Lead full sales cycle: prospecting, RFI/RFP response, proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure with 70% win rate target.

- Collaborate with InOpTra's engineering teams to scope solutions and ensure delivery excellence for HIL/SIL validation and embedded connectivity projects.

- Track market trends in EV connectivity, ADAS, and software-defined vehicles to position InOpTra competitively against Indian and global competitors.

- Maintain CRM pipeline, sales forecasts, and weekly US market reports for leadership review.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's in Engineering (Automotive/Embedded preferred) + MBA; 10+ years BDM experience in automotive engineering services.

- Proven US automotive sales track record ($1M+ deals) with OEM/Tier-1 relationships.

- Technical expertise in HIL/SIL testing, Embedded Systems (AUTOSAR, RTOS), automotive connectivity, and CAD/CAE product design tools.

- Willingness to travel 40-50% to US (Business Meetings/Expos) with valid passport/visa readiness.

- Excellent English communication; CRM proficiency (Zoho); IST-to-US time zone flexibility.
