
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced and result-oriented Business Development Managers - eGovernance to drive government business opportunities and strengthen strategic client relationships. The role requires strong experience in IT/e-Governance/government sales, with proven success in project acquisitions, account management, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Government clients, departments, and nodal agencies.
- Drive account management and account mining to expand existing client business.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, generate requirements, and close project sales.
- Build and track a robust sales pipeline, ensuring continuous progress toward targets.
- Manage the complete sales cycle including lead generation, proposals, negotiations, and closures.
- Track tenders, RFPs, and government procurement processes to identify new business opportunities.
- Follow up on payments and ensure timely collections.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with IT/Hardware vendors to strengthen solution offerings.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to e-Governance initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 8 -10+ years of experience in IT/e-Governance/Government Sales with a strong track record of business acquisitions and project closures.
- Strong communication skills (spoken and written).
Ability to speak and read regional languages:
- Tamil (for Chennai role)
- Marathi (for Mumbai role)
- Good understanding of government tendering processes, sales cycles, and procurement mechanisms.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of emerging IT solutions and technologies in the governance space..
