About the Role:
Native has been exclusively mandated to hire for a Business Development position with one of the most respected and established brands in the building materials industry. The role is based out of Delhi NCR and is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional to build strong relationships with key stakeholders in the design and construction ecosystem.
This is an individual contributor role with a strong focus on architects, interior designers, consultants, and other key influencers in the region. The role requires strategic thinking, relationship-building capabilities, and a deep understanding of how design and specification decisions are made in the built environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive demand generation through regular engagement with architects, interior designers, consultants, and influencers in Delhi/North India.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with design professionals and firms, becoming their trusted point of contact for relevant product needs.
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions to effectively showcase the brands offerings.
- Track project pipelines and ensure that products are specified at the right stage of project development.
- Build visibility for the brand within the design community through networking events, industry forums, and partnerships.
- Ensure consistent lead conversion by actively following up on project leads and working with internal sales teams to close deals.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement of product and service offerings.
- Travel locally within Delhi and occasionally across North India to meet clients and attend industry events.
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for high-performing professionals who are passionate about driving growth through design-led engagement.
The ideal candidate should:
- Have 812 years of experience in a client-facing sales/business development role within the building materials or allied sectors (e.g., lighting, furniture, flooring, paints, tiles, or similar).
- Be confident and articulate, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a strong executive presence, the ability to engage with senior architects and designers, and build credibility quickly.
- Have a track record of lead generation and project conversion, preferably in a specification-driven sales environment.
- Be well-networked within the architect and interior designer community in the Delhi/NCR region.
- Be self-driven, goal-oriented, and able to work independently while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Be open to travel within Delhi and North India as per business needs.
