Business Data Analyst - Property & Casualty Insurance

About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Data Analyst to serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical engineering teams. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity and clarity by translating complex business needs into precise technical documentation. This role is essential for maintaining high-quality data standards within the Property & Casualty insurance domain.

Responsibilities:

- Lead business requirement gathering sessions to translate complex needs into actionable documentation.

- Develop comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).

- Create detailed Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents and manage end-to-end data lineage.

- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure accurate data mapping and database implementation.

- Troubleshoot complex data discrepancies to ensure system accuracy.

- Facilitate stakeholder alignment through clear communication and project management.

- Provide expertise on the end-to-end insurance lifecycle to guide project outcomes.

Requirements:

- 4-9 years of professional experience in data analysis.

- Mandatory hands-on experience in the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance sector.

- Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins and window functions.

- Experience working with Snowflake or traditional relational databases.

- Strong understanding of the end-to-end insurance lifecycle.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
