Business Analyst - US Life Insurance Domain

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Business Analyst with strong expertise in US Life Insurance applications and digital platforms. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in requirement gathering, stakeholder management, business process analysis, and Agile project delivery.

The candidate will work closely with business and technology teams to ensure business objectives, operational processes, and regulatory requirements are effectively translated into functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder discussions, workshops, and meetings

- Prepare BRD, FRD, user stories, use cases, and process flow documentation

- Analyze existing life insurance business processes and identify opportunities for improvement and automation

- Work on core Life Insurance functions including Policy Administration, Claims, Underwriting, and New Business

- Collaborate with development and technical teams to convert business requirements into functional solutions

- Support solution design discussions and provide business insights during implementation

- Prepare test cases, acceptance criteria, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

- Validate delivered solutions against business requirements and ensure quality outcomes

- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders and manage requirement prioritization effectively

- Provide regular project updates and ensure alignment between business and technology teams

- Work within Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments

Required Skills & Experience:

Must Have:

- 7+ years of overall experience as a Business Analyst

- Minimum 4+ years of experience working on US Life Insurance projects

- Strong understanding of Life Insurance domains:

- Policy Administration

- Claims

- Underwriting

- New Business

Expertise in:

- Requirement Gathering

- BRD/FRD Documentation

- User Stories

- Process Flows

- Gap Analysis

- Process Improvement

- Hands-on experience with UAT, test planning, and requirement validation

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Experience working in Agile environments

Preferred:

- Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

- Exposure to digital transformation or insurance platform modernization project
