Business Analyst - Regulatory Reporting

Location: Pune / Hyderabad

Experience: 3-10 Years

Role Overview:

- We are looking for a Business Analyst - Regulatory Reporting to drive data and regulatory initiatives within traded risk. This role focuses on improving data quality, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting large-scale risk transformation programs across global markets.

- You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions across Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk domains.

What You'll Be Doing?

- Perform data discovery, analysis, and lineage mapping across traded risk systems

- Drive data quality improvement initiatives aligned with regulatory requirements

- Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, IT, Finance, and Transformation teams

- Identify data gaps, control weaknesses, and implement remediation strategies

- Conduct root cause analysis and track data issues through closure

- Support regulatory programs such as FRTB, SA CVA, BCBS239, IRR

- Produce high-quality documentation and obtain stakeholder sign-offs

- Ensure data governance standards are embedded across projects and BAU processes

What We're Looking For?

1. Core Experience:

- 3-10 years of experience in Business Analysis / Data Analysis within Risk, Banking, or Financial Services

- Strong exposure to Traded Risk, Regulatory Reporting, or Risk Data domains

- Experience working on end-to-end data lifecycle (sourcing - transformation - reporting)

2. Regulatory & Domain Expertise:

Working knowledge (or hands-on experience) in:

a. BCBS239

b. FRTB SA

c. SA CVA

Solid understanding of:

- Market Risk (VaR, RWA, Stress Testing, P&L, sensitivities)

- Counterparty Credit Risk (PFE, EEPE, Exposure metrics)

- Awareness of risk data aggregation and regulatory expectations

3. Data & Analytical Capabilities

Strong skills in:

- Data Analysis & Data Profiling

- Data Lineage & Impact Analysis

Understanding of:

- Data Governance frameworks

- Data Quality dimensions & controls

- Ability to identify data inconsistencies, control gaps, and process inefficiencies

4. Stakeholder & Delivery Skills:

- Proven ability to work with cross-functional and global teams

- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data insights into business impact

- Experience working in matrix organizations and complex environments

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in time-sensitive regulatory programs
