Business Analyst - Lending Partner

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Commercial / Business Banking, particularly in Mandates, Payments, and Lending. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in business analysis, stakeholder management, and requirement gathering, with exposure to UK Mortgages and strong SQL skills.

Key Responsibilities:

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for commercial banking initiatives.

- Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flow diagrams.

- Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to translate business needs into functional solutions.

- Analyze and improve business processes related to mandate management, payments, and lending.

- Support solution design, functional validation, UAT, and production rollouts.

- Perform data analysis and validation using SQL to support business and testing activities.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices.

Required Skills:

- 8-12 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Commercial / Business Banking.

- Strong domain knowledge of Mandate Management, Payments (Domestic, International, Bulk Payments, Collections), and Lending.

- Experience working on UK Mortgages or UK banking transformation projects.

- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, BRD/FRD preparation, user stories, use cases, and process mapping.

- Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reporting.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira or Confluence.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with payment standards such as SWIFT, ISO 20022, BACS, CHAPS, or Faster Payments.

- Knowledge of commercial banking platforms and digital banking solutions.

- Exposure to API integrations, data migration, or banking transformation programs.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
