
Role: FP&A Business Analyst
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Business Analyst with strong expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis processes and IBM TM1 (Planning Analytics). The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between Finance stakeholders and technology teams, gathering and translating business requirements into functional solutions that support budgeting, forecasting, planning, and financial reporting initiatives.
The role requires strong business analysis skills, stakeholder management capabilities, and hands-on experience working within finance transformation or planning system environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance, FP&A, and business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
- Lead requirements gathering workshops and conduct business process analysis.
- Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), process flows, and functional specifications.
- Analyze current-state and future-state finance processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
- Work closely with TM1/Planning Analytics developers and technical teams to design and implement solutions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.
- Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and solution validation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure solutions align with business objectives, governance standards, and financial reporting requirements.
Required Skills:
- Strong experience working as a dedicated Business Analyst (minimum 4-10 years)
- Hands-on experience with TM1
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes
- Expertise in requirements gathering and analysis
- Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, and functional documents
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Knowledge of business process mapping and gap analysis
- Ability to work closely with finance users and technical teams
