About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Credit Risk Model Development, Validation, or Implementation within the BFSI domain. The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to credit risk analytics, model monitoring, and regulatory risk frameworks (Basel / IRB / IFRS9). You will collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Model Development, Data, and IT teams to ensure models are built, validated, and implemented efficiently across multiple banking environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support end-to-end Credit Risk Model lifecycle including model design, validation, back-testing, and implementation.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis, data preparation, and scenario/sensitivity testing for model accuracy.
- Collaborate with Risk Methodology, Quant, and IT teams for model integration and performance monitoring.
- Ensure adherence to Basel / IFRS9 / BCBS 239 regulatory standards.
- Execute model performance tracking and create documentation such as FRDs, BRDs, and model validation reports.
- Support automation, process improvement, and analytics initiatives using advanced statistical tools.
- Work with large datasets to generate insights for credit exposure, PD/LGD/EAD, RWA, and capital estimation.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- 7-15 years of relevant experience in Credit Risk Modeling / Risk Analytics / Model Validation within Banking, Consulting, or Captive BFSI firms.
- Strong understanding of Credit Risk, Economic Capital, VaR, Stress Testing, and Risk Sensitivities.
- Hands-on experience with data analysis and model testing.
- Exposure to Structured Finance, Securitization, or Product Control is a plus.
- Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Excel, and JIRA.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualification:
- PGDM / MBA (Finance / Financial Engineering) from a reputed institute (IIM / IFMR / XLRI / NMIMS or equivalent).
- FRM / CFA (Preferred)
