We are currently partnering with one of our portfolio companies (seed staged) to hire a Business Analyst. Responsibilities: - Create and maintain financial models to support business decisions, including revenue forecasting, expense management, and cost-benefit analysis - Analyze marketing and sales data to understand customer behavior, identify trends, and make recommendations for improving marketing and sales effectiveness - Analyze operational data to identify opportunities for efficiency gains and cost savings - Measure product usage behavior to drive product excellence - Create and manage data pipelines to support data transformation, analysis, and reporting - Perform data transformation and analysis using SQL or other languages, such as Python or R - Design and develop data visualizations using BI tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, to enable stakeholders to easily understand and interpret data - Create data stories to communicate insights to management and other stakeholders - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and data science, to ensure alignment on data-driven decisions - Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field - 3+ years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role - Experience with financial modeling, marketing analytics, sales analytics, and operations analytics - Experience creating and managing data pipelines (ETL) using tools such as Airflow or Apache NiFi - Proficient in SQL and experience with other languages such as Python or R - Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker - Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field - Experience in the insurance industry - Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform If you're a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and have a passion for using data to drive business decisions, then we would love to speak to you.
