Role Overview
The Business Analyst acts as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams, ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable user stories and development tasks.
This role also serves as a Scrum Master, driving agile ceremonies and ensuring that delivery outcomes align with business objectives and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from key stakeholders.
- Translate requirements into well-defined, testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements, user stories, and implemented features.
- Validate that developer tasks in Azure DevOps accurately fulfill defined user stories.
Agile Delivery & Scrum Master Responsibilities
- Serve as Scrum Master for the development team.
- Plan and facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Track sprint progress, identify blockers, and drive resolution to ensure timely delivery.
- Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement within the team.
Collaboration & Delivery Support
- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment and delivery success.
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support defect triage and resolution.
- Assist with feature rollout documentation, release notes, and stakeholder communications.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and sprint execution.
- Hands-on experience writing user stories in Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Working familiarity with C# / .NET systems and modern web architectures to enable effective story creation.
- Understanding of the .NET / Azure ecosystem and software delivery lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Practical experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity to enhance productivity and analysis in day-to-day work.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Exposure to Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP platforms such as Sage, Acumatica, or NetSuite.
- Basic to intermediate understanding of SQL databases, data models, and integration workflows.
- Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced agile teams.
