As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging business needs and technology solutions within global settlement projects, specifically focusing on capital markets post-trade operations. This role requires a strong understanding of the trade lifecycle and global regulations, with a preference for candidates experienced with the GLOSS settlement system. You will work with global stakeholders to analyze, define, and implement solutions that enhance efficiency and manage risk in settlement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Lead workshops and interviews with global stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements. Create detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.

- Process Analysis & Improvement: Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments to identify areas for improvement in existing settlement workflows. Design and reengineer processes to optimize efficiency, manage risk, and ensure compliance with global regulations.

- Solution Implementation Support: Work closely with development, data engineering, and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business expectations. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test case creation, defect management, and obtaining UAT sign-offs.

- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different time zones, including Front Office, Operations, Finance, and IT departments.

- Project Delivery: Operate within Agile and Waterfall methodologies, managing end-to-end project delivery and ensuring proper documentation and adherence to quality standards. Prepare project plans, status reports, and communication materials for stakeholders.

Skills & Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience (minimum 5+ years) as a Business Analyst within an Investment Bank or Financial Services consultancy, with exposure to global operations.

Domain Knowledge (Mandatory):

- Sound understanding of the full trade lifecycle (trade capture, pricing, settlements, asset servicing).

- Domain experience across key business areas such as Trade Processing, Regulatory Reporting, Collateral Management, and Derivatives Operations.

- Familiarity with global regulations impacting settlements.

Technical Skills (Preferred):

- GLOSS System: Proven experience with or familiarity with GLOSS-related tools and systems is highly preferable.

- Proficiency in data analysis, visualization, and BI solutions (SQL, Python, PowerBI, Tableau would be an added advantage).

- Experience using documentation and workflow tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, and MS Office Suite.
