Burma Burma - Marketing Manager - Restaurant Vertical

We are looking to hire a marketing manager based out of Mumbai.

About the role:

In this role, you will lead the marketing effort for the restaurant brand and support the growing e-commerce brand and other initiatives (were constantly experimenting). Facets of the role include:

- Independently coming up with ideas that help achieve brand & marketing goals

- Be a key senior player in the corporate team

- Represent the company and senior management at events & meetings

- Develop the marketing strategy & plans (quarterly/half-yearly)

- Create the budget for the marketing plan (partner agency fees, shoots, creative freelancers)

- Constantly measure the return of investment on marketing expenditures

- Work with the PR partner on press notes, influencer collaborations and more

- Develop relationships with key influencers & journalists on behalf of the brand

- Work with Digital Media/Performance Agencies to publish effective advertising campaigns for new launches and more

- Create & execute exciting brand collaborations with relevant brands and publishers

- Work closely with operations and customer service managers to improve the overall brand experience

- Manage all in-house and freelance marketing talent and align internal & external teams to achieve brand goals

- Present monthly updates & quarterly/half-yearly reports to the rest of the leadership team, explaining the impact and results of all marketing and branding efforts

Requirements:

- 5+ years of marketing experience working with lifestyle, restaurant & hospitality brands

- Previous experience in managing teams

- Excellent people management skills and ability to solve problems calmly

- A strong network of connections with relevant influencers and media personnel from the F&B industry

- An agile team player, flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic environment

- Good at setting up processes & organizing the team to achieve project completion

- A great listener, respectful to all people, whatever their socioeconomic & cultural background

- Curious about Burma (Myanmar), the regions culinary heritage and creating memorable experiences around these themes

Workspace locations : Office at Burma Burma Restaurant & Tea Room (Kalaghoda)

Travel : Short trips to Burma Burma Restaurants in NCR, Kolkata and Bangalore may be on the cards now and then.

Burma Burma is a gathering place celebrating the food, culture & traditions of Burma. Spearheaded by childhood friends Chirag Chhajer and Ankit Gupta, the concept of Burma Burma hails from Ankits Burmese roots. His mother and her family were brought up in Myanmar, which set the base for the early introduction of the heady flavours of Burmese cuisine.

Ankit belongs to a lineage of hoteliers and restaurateurs; hence it only made sense for him to take his mothers delicious recipes with his father's panache for business and form a powerful amalgamation of the two, the result of which is BURMA BURMA.

Burma Burma was founded in 2014 with a restaurant in Kalaghoda, Mumbai, and since then has grown into six cities with seven outlets, serving 1500 patrons daily and winning multiple awards along the way. Recently, the brand has forayed into the D2C space with chef-made pastes, sauces, condiments and snacks with lots more to come
