Position Summary:

The Business Director is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the company's prestige brands in footwear and kids-wear. This includes retail operations, merchandising, new store project management, buy planning, and account management with respective franchisors. This role focuses heavily on retail operations, stock planning, merchandising strategy, and store expansion projects-ensuring consistent brand standards, excellent customer experience and optimized operations across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Retail Operations Management:

1. Lead and manage the retail operations across multiple locations in India, ensuring adherence to SOPs, brand standards, and operational efficiency.

2. Monitor and optimize store performance metrics: sales targets, profitability, customer service quality, inventory turnover, and adherence to budgetary controls.

3. Complete regular store audits and store risk assessments to maintain high standards of compliance and operational integrity.

Merchandising & Stock Management:

4. Develop seasonal buy plans in collaboration with the franchisor, aligned with brand guidelines and market demand.

5. Aggressively manage inventory levels across all stores to optimize stock rotation, reduce damaged and defective stock, and maintain high sell-through rates.

6. Ensure Return to Vendor (RTV) processes are managed efficiently, with clear TATs (Turnaround Times) for receiving credits from the franchisor.

7. Conduct regular sales analysis to optimize product assortment, store layout, and visual merchandising.

8. Ensure timely replenishment and maintain stock accuracy across all stores.

New Store Project Management:

9. Lead the planning, execution, and successful launch of new locations.

10. Coordinate with contractors, visual merchandisers, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.

11. Act as the single point of contact for all store development activities, ensuring alignment with brand expectations.

12. Oversee store design, layout planning, and brand-standard adherence.

Franchise Account Management:

13. Serve as the primary contact for the franchisor, maintaining strong communication and alignment on brand strategy.

14. Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, visual merchandising standards, and operational expectations.

15. Negotiate terms, contracts, and business strategies with the franchisor to drive mutual growth.

Team Leadership & Development:

16. Build and lead a high-performing team with a strong focus on sales growth, customer experience, and brand representation.

17. Coach, train, and mentor store managers and staff, instilling best practices in retail operations and customer service.

18. Foster a culture of accountability, performance excellence, and continuous learning within the team.
