Area Sales Manager - Industrial Lubricants (B2B)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic Area Sales Manager with proven experience in Industrial Lubricant Sales to drive business growth and expand our customer base within the assigned territory. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in B2B sales, channel development, key account management, and distributor management, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets in the lubricants industry. The role involves developing new business opportunities, managing existing customer relationships, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Drive sales of industrial lubricants and specialty lubrication products within the assigned territory.
- Identify and acquire new customers across manufacturing, automotive, engineering, cement, steel, mining, power, construction, and other industrial sectors.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Generate new business through direct sales, distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
2. Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with key customers, OEMs, distributors, and industrial clients.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable lubrication solutions.
- Conduct regular customer visits, technical discussions, and product demonstrations to strengthen customer engagement.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through timely support and issue resolution.
3. Channel & Distributor Management:
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and channel partners within the assigned region.
- Monitor distributor performance, inventory levels, and sales activities.
- Provide product training and sales support to channel partners to improve market penetration.
4. Market Development:
- Identify emerging market opportunities, competitor activities, and customer trends.
- Develop strategies to increase market share and strengthen brand presence.
- Conduct market research and provide regular feedback on customer requirements and competitive intelligence.
5. Sales Planning & Reporting:
- Prepare sales forecasts, territory plans, and business reports.
- Monitor sales performance against targets and implement corrective actions where required.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales pipeline, and business opportunities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5-8 years of experience in Industrial Lubricant Sales or Specialty Lubricants.
- Strong B2B sales experience in industrial products.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing business within assigned territories.
- Experience managing distributors, dealers, and key industrial accounts.
- Good understanding of lubrication products, industrial applications, and customer requirements.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
