Project Manager - CRM Purpose of job : - To help support the agenda of enabling more insight driven CRM application. - The British Council is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the CRM Operations team in Noida. The role is in operations team however the responsibility of the CRM team sits across whole of the British Council. - The job involves developing concrete, detailed plans for a project, including schedules, outlining the duties of each team members, identifying project goals, and setting a timeline for the project. The job includes collaborating with various teams, holding meetings to develop project plans, monitoring and meeting deadlines while documenting results, reporting and presenting them to senior management. The Opportunity : - In November 2016 the British Council launched a 3-year CRM programme to deliver a professional set of tools to help and support British Council staff in their daily work in managing, recording and tracking relationships and interactions with customers and further professionalize and standardize how we work with customers, how we manage customer data, and how we develop business insights from this data to achieve increased customer satisfaction and loyalty, increased sales, and reduced operational costs - The programme ends in October 2019, when CRM moves into - continuous development- through the establishment of a permanent CRM team, whose work will be supplemented by additional projects as and when required by lines of business. Together this will work a new CRM programme of work. - This is an exciting opportunity to lead the operational planning, management and delivery of significant strands of this programme of work. Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties : - The Project Manager operates as the first line for the Global Salesforce CRM Operations team into the British Council's CRM client base and works with various strand leads to successful deliver individual users and business units on to Global Salesforce CRM through the provision of strategic and operational support, including operational reporting, risk and issue tracking, quality control and post project benefits tracking and reporting. - Lead major workstreams for the CRM business stream of work, ensuring that associated delivery teams are managed effectively to achieve required benefits and outcomes to time, budget and quality. This is likely to focus on - business to business and business to government- activities but will also include - business to consumer- work. - Establish the delivery plan for the workstream, focusing on the effective coordination of related work streams, ensuring they achieve the required business outcomes (i.e. quality, margin, timeliness, impact). - Provide high quality and timely expert advice to internal clients to enable the development of new initiatives through Business Case development to delivery, contribute to successful business improvement planning, and stage gate reviews and programme/project refresh to ensure existing commitments are delivered efficiently and effectively. - Work with the Head of CRM, Training Manager, Business Analyst and Service Delivery Manager to ensure that the project plan covers the necessary - soft scope- to deliver real substantive change, with particular attention to cultural change, embedding change through training and communications and ensuring arrangements are in place to transition to new ways of working, including the implementation of new business processes. - Ensure the timely and accurate collation of management information, evaluation and major project reporting, to enable more effective and robust operational planning and decision-making. Other Responsibilities : - Establish and maintain a standard set of practices, processes and templates for managing projects consistently and efficiently to reduce project related risk and costs - Collect, consolidate and analyze data to support effective decision making - Develops stakeholders- map and defines the interest of each group - Strategic overview and reporting of project to senior management as per schedule. - Manage interdependencies and balance competing demands to ensure objectives are delivered - Monitor and report on compliance with established standards to ensure the organisation adheres to agreed policies and standards - Contributes to the flow of communication within the team, by actively participating in team meetings Skills and Experience : - Demonstrable experience of leading the delivery of large projects or programme strands across a major part of an organization and across a significant geographical area. This should include procuring and managing third party supplier and partner arrangements (on a case-by-case basis). - Demonstrates the ability to plan, structure and manage the - hard scope- of a programme that delivers tangible outputs (eg documents, systems, assets). - Experience in working on system rollouts is desirable. Experience in working internationally with CRM systems, and Salesforce in particular, would be an asset - but is not essential. Key relationships : - Direct reporting to Service Manager/ CRM Delivery Manager - Head of Global Salesforce CRM and Senior Project Managers - Business SBUs as relevant - Country/Regional Directors - Vendors/suppliers for specific service areas - Business Analysts, Data Analyst's and Training team.
