BrightChamps has been running student hackathons and is now scaling them into a core, repeatable, and high-impact program. Alongside hackathons, we are introducing Skillathons - structured, outcome-driven competitions focused on real-world skill application.

Hackathons and Skillathons will run throughout the year with a fixed operating rhythm, clear ownership, and measurable outcomes. We are hiring a Program Manager - Online Events to own and execute quarterly student Hackathons and Skillathons end-to-end.

This is a hands-on startup role that requires strong execution, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to scale online programs with discipline.

As a Program Manager, you'll:

Quarterly Program Execution:

- Own and execute 4 major programs per year (one every quarter) covering Hackathons and Skillathons.

- Drive end-to-end planning, execution, and closure for each program.

- Ensure strict adherence to the defined operating rhythm and timeline.

- Cross-Functional Program Management.

Act as the single point of coordination across:

- Leadership & program owners.

- Curriculum & content teams.

- Marketing, PR & social media.

- Product & tech teams.

- Teachers, mentors, and external judges.

- Drive clarity, accountability, and execution across teams.

- Online Event & Student Operations.

- Manage student registrations, eligibility, and communications.

- Coordinate prep content, teacher briefings, and student readiness.

- Oversee virtual execution, tech readiness, and live event operations.

- Manage submissions, evaluations, judging workflows, and results.

Quality, Discipline & Scale:

- Ensure rules, timelines, and evaluation frameworks for Hackathons and Skillathons are published and followed.

- Identify risks early and solve execution bottlenecks.

- Continuously improve participation, submission quality, and execution smoothness quarter-on-quarter.

Post-Event Closure & Reporting:

- Drive post-program outputs such as results, summaries, and internal reports.

- Coordinate retrospectives and track key program metrics.

- Maintain documentation, playbooks, and execution checklists for scale.

To WIN , you'll need:

Must-Have:

- 3-5 years of experience in program management, online events, or large-scale virtual programs.

- Proven experience managing student-focused programs.

- Strong cross-functional coordination and stakeholder management skills.

- High ownership and execution mindset.

Good To Have:

- Experience in EdTech, learning platforms, or skills-based programs.

- Exposure to hackathons, competitions, Skillathons, or cohort-based learning initiatives.

- Experience working with global or distributed student audiences.
