Role Overview:
We are looking for a hands-on Brand Manager who can own brand strategy, execution, and growth. This role requires a strong mix of consumer insight, marketing execution, and commercial acumen to drive market share and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Strategy & Growth
- Own and drive brand positioning, messaging, and long-term strategy
- Identify growth opportunities across markets, channels, and cohorts
- Drive market share, penetration, and brand salience
2. Campaign Planning & Execution
- Lead ATL / BTL / Digital campaigns end-to-end
- Work with creative & media agencies to deliver high-impact campaigns
- Manage campaign calendars, budgets, and execution timelines
3. P&L Ownership & Business Performance
- Own brand-level revenue, profitability, and margins
- Track and optimize key metrics: sales growth, contribution margin, ROI
- Partner with sales teams to drive offtake and distribution
4. Consumer Insights & Research
- Leverage data and research to understand consumer behavior and preferences
- Translate insights into product, pricing, and communication strategies
5. New Product Development (NPD)
- Lead end-to-end product launches (concept launch scale)
- Work closely with product, R&D, and supply teams
- Ensure strong product-market fit and go-to-market strategy
6. Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Manage external agencies (creative, media, research)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, supply chain
Role Expectations
First 30 Days:
- Understand brand, category, and consumer insights
- Review past campaigns and performance metrics
60 Days:
- Take ownership of campaigns and ongoing initiatives
- Identify quick wins and optimization opportunities
90 Days:
- Deliver measurable impact on brand growth and campaign ROI
- Build a clear roadmap for scaling the brand
Requirements
- 3-8 years of experience in FMCG brand management
- MBA from IIM / ISB / XLRI / Top B-School preferred
- Strong experience in ATL/BTL campaigns and media planning
- Proven track record of driving brand growth and market share
- Experience in new product launches (NPD) is a strong plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High ownership mindset with execution focus
