Client: Top FMCG firm -- Mumbai  Desired profile of the candidates:  1) Researching consumer markets, monitoring market trends and identifying potential areas in which to invest, based upon consumer needs and spending habits   2) Looking at the pricing of products and analyzing the potential profitability   3) Generating names for new and existing products and services, coming up with ideas for new packaging  designs  4) Overseeing the production of TV adverts, newspaper and magazine advertisements, direct mail packs, email campaigns, websites, exhibition stands, road shows and liaising with art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers   5) Leading the strategic planning process for the assigned brands based on key consumer insights to enhance current portfolio and improve communication with consumers.   6) Involvement in the development of the company’s long term planning that identifies new business opportunities, markets and partners.   7) Working closely with distribution partners and Marketing Research companies to obtain relevant information, including the development and implementation of brand audit studies and focus groups.   8) Monitoring and analyzing business performance vis-à-vis business goals (awareness, share, consumer diagnostics, profitability, etc.) and the competition.   9) Implementing the marketing plans by working with internal and external suppliers to deliver in a timely manner and on budget.   10) Delivering internal and external presentations regarding new product introductions,  Desired skill sets:  1) Vision: should be able to predict the future of the product in the 5-6 years down the lane  2) Curiosity: Should have a decent understanding of the various marketing sub-disciplines: market research, communications, digital marketing, event marketing, public relations.
