Role Overview

The Branch Relationship Manager is a crucial Individual contributor role within the Banking industry, focused on driving sales and managing relationships within the Branch Banking function.

This position requires a PG/Master degree and demands exceptional Communication Skills and a Result Driven approach to meet aggressive sales targets.

The incumbent will focus specifically on managing and acquiring Affluent segment customers, ensuring growth across key retail liabilities and investment products.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and influential Branch Relationship Manager to lead the growth and management of the Affluent client segment within the mapped branch catchment area. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in CASA Sales, customer Acquisition, and Portfolio management across Retail Liabilities. Key responsibilities include achieving significant CASA, Investment, and Insurance growth, ensuring exceptional sales and service delivery for managed clients, and driving Loan Book expansion.

Key Responsibilities and Retail Banking Deliverables

Affluent Portfolio Management:

- Manage Affluent Book of the mapped branch, deepening relationships and increasing the wallet share of existing high-net-worth clients.

- Ensure comprehensive sales and service delivery for Managed customers, acting as the single point of contact for all banking and investment needs.

Customer Acquisition and Sales Growth:

- Acquire Affluent customers in the Branch catchment area, leveraging strong CASA Sales and Acquisition strategies to expand the Portfolio.

- Responsible for CASA growth (Current Account Savings Account), focusing on both balances and customer volume in the Retail Liabilities segment.

Product Cross-Selling:

- Drive sales and penetration of non-CASA products, specifically achieving targets in Investments & Insurance products (wealth management, mutual funds, ULIPs, etc.).

- Contribute directly to Loan Book growth by cross-selling appropriate retail lending products (e.g., mortgages, personal loans) to the managed and acquired affluent client base.

Influence and Service:

- Utilize strong Influencing skills to guide customer decision-making and ensure high product penetration.

- Maintain a Responsive approach to all client queries and service requests, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution to drive retention.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

Core Skills: Expertise in CASA Sales, Acquisition, Portfolio, Branch Banking, and Retail Liabilities.

Segment Focus: Proven experience or ability to manage and acquire Affluent segment customers.

Education: PG/Master degree.

Soft Skills: Exceptional Communication Skills, Result Driven mindset, and strong abilities in Influencing and being Responsive.

Preferred Skills

- Relevant certification in Mutual Funds (NISM) or Insurance (IRDA).

- Experience using CRM software for tracking leads and managing the sales pipeline.

- Prior experience in the Private Banking or Wealth Management division of a financial institution.
