Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Service Objectives:

1. Achieve sales targets for the branch via liability products (current accounts, savings accounts, term deposits), wealth management products, and asset-related products.

2. Devise and implement strategies for customer acquisition, retention, improvement of product-holding per customer, and increase of branch share in the catchment area.

3. Lead branch promotions, assist new product launches, and monitor competitive pressures (catchment area, branch rationalisation, transaction migration to alternate channels).

Operations & Compliance:

1. Ensure operations are compliant with internal policies, audit findings, regulatory requirements. 2. Maintain branch audit ratings and ensure controls (KCD/KRI, operations manual, process notes) are adhered to.

3. Manage change initiatives: branch rationalisation/optimisation, system/process re-engineering, transaction migration, branch space/premises realignment.

People & Team Management:

1. Lead the branch team: train, mentor, manage performance, motivate staff, build talent, manage attrition, succession planning, create a strong performance culture.

2. Drive segment ownership across products (e.g., personal banking, premium banking, SME) and ensure the team executes accordingly.

Strategy & Local Market Intelligence:

1. Assess local market/competitive conditions, identify business opportunities in the branch's catchment area and use them to increase market share.

2. Develop branch business plans and forecasts, align with region/zone targets, report on branch performance metrics.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree or an MBA.

- 10+ years of banking experience in a supervisory/leadership role.

- Strong sales orientation, business development mindset, with demonstrable track record of achieving targets (liabilities, assets, cross-sell).

- Excellent leadership and team-management skills: ability to motivate and manage staff, develop talent, build performance culture.

- Sound operational and compliance acumen: understanding of banking operations, audit, internal controls, risk and regulatory frameworks.

- Good market/competitive sense, customer-service orientation; ability to handle front-line issues and resolve escalations.

- Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving skills; ability to plan, forecast and manage branch P&L.
