Hiring for Brand Head for Freight Forwarding Company


Location: Mumbai


Roles and Responsibilities:

- Achieve budgeted net margin month-on-month for the Branch.

- Control OPEX and ensure alignment with gross margins.

- Should have knowledge of at least three products out of 5 (Air Imports/Air Exports /Ocean Imports/Ocean Exports/Custom Clearance)

- Monitor and manage account receivables with a focus on timely and accurate billing and DSO.

- Meet Personal KPIs and financial targets.

- Drive yield enhancement across all Lines of Business (LOBs).

- Ensure smooth functioning of all operations across departments and lines of business.

- Implement and monitor quality compliance and operational standards.

- Respond promptly to RFQs and coordinate with overseas partners.

- Mitigate risk through sound risk management controls and procedures.

- Drive business development and increase the client base.

- Conduct regular client visits, generate personal gross margins, and manage key accounts.

- Lead sales management, including reviews, analytics, and target setting for sales teams.

- Focus on the development of major trade routes and key verticals with budgeting plans in place.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers for better space and rates.

- Oversee general management and cross-departmental coordination.

- Ensure acquisition and retention of quality manpower.

- Initiate HR and team-building activities to maintain a motivated and engaged workforce.

- Train and develop staff with a clear focus on succession planning.

- Define KRAs and job profiles for Assistant Managers and above.

- Conduct timely and structured performance appraisals linked to measurable outcomes.

- Ensure clear and effective communication across all staff.

- Promote a culture of service excellence and monitor CRM performance regularly.


Qualifications & Skills:


- Bachelors or Masters degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field.

- 8 to 12 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics with 5 to 8 years in a managerial role.

- In-depth knowledge of air/ocean/road freight, customs compliance and documentation.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal abilities
