We are hiring for BRANCH MANAGER for one of the leading private sector bank.

Location- Mumbai

Department: Operations / Sales

Job Summary:

The Branch Manager will be responsible for overall branch performance, including business growth, profitability, customer acquisition, service excellence, team leadership, and strict adherence to RBI and internal compliance norms. The role focuses on driving CASA, assets, cross-selling, and relationship management while ensuring operational efficiency and risk control.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Growth & Sales:

- Drive CASA acquisition, term deposits, and fee-based income

- Achieve targets for assets (Home Loans, LAP, Personal Loans, MSME loans)

- Promote cross-selling of bank products (Insurance, Mutual Funds, Cards, Forex)

- Develop and manage key relationships with HNI, SME, and retail customers

- Execute local market acquisition and referral strategies

Branch Operations:

- Oversee end-to-end branch operations including teller, service desk, and back office

- Ensure smooth cash management, vault operations, and reconciliation

- Monitor TATs, service quality, and customer grievance redressal

- Maintain branch infrastructure, security, and housekeeping standards

Compliance & Risk Management:

- Ensure 100% compliance with RBI, AML, KYC, and internal audit guidelines

- Monitor credit quality, documentation, and pre-/post-disbursement checks

- Manage operational risk, fraud prevention, and audit observations

- Ensure timely closure of audit and inspection findings

- Team Leadership & Performance Management

- Lead, coach, and motivate sales and operations teams

- Drive productivity through goal setting, reviews, and training

- Conduct performance appraisals and talent development initiatives

- Maintain discipline, ethical conduct, and service culture

Financial & MIS Management:

- Monitor branch P&L, cost control, and profitability

- Track KPIs including CASA ratio, ROA, cross-sell, and NPA levels

- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports

Qualifications & Experience:

- Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Management, or Finance

- 8-12 years of banking experience, with at least 3-5 years in branch leadership

- Strong exposure to retail banking products and branch operations

- Experience in a Private Sector Bank preferred

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

- Sales orientation with relationship management expertise

- Sound knowledge of RBI regulations and banking compliance

- Financial analysis and credit appraisal skills

- Excellent communication and customer handling abilities

- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- CASA growth and deposit mobilization

- Asset disbursement and portfolio quality

- Fee income and cross-sell ratio

- Customer satisfaction and service quality

- Audit scores and compliance adherence

Qualifications & Experience:
