Role Summary

- The Branch Banking Head is a critical senior leadership role responsible for the overall strategic direction, performance, profitability, and operational excellence of the designated branch network within the Banking Industry.

- This leader will drive aggressive sales targets across both liability and asset products, ensure strict adherence to quality and audit standards, and champion a customer-centric service culture.

- The position requires proven expertise in Branch Banking management, exceptional Team Handling skills, and strategic Allocation of Resources to maximize branch profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Branch Performance & Profitability:

- Strategic Monitoring: Implement rigorous monitoring mechanisms for Branch Performance metrics, analyzing key operational, sales, and quality indicators on a daily and weekly basis.

- Target Achievement: Develop and execute high-impact strategies focused on ensuring the consistent over-achievement of Branch Sales targets across all product lines.

- Revenue Maximization: Strategically work towards maximizing overall profits and fee-based income for the Branch by focusing on high-margin product sales.

- Growth of CASA/GL: Drive significant growth in the Branch's overall Gross Liability (G.L.) Size, prioritizing the acquisition of high-value Current Account and Savings Account (CA-SA) balances.

- Cost Optimization: Strategically manage and control branch expenditure, actively working towards the optimization of the operating cost of the Branch without compromising service quality.

Sales & Cross-Selling Execution:

- Liability Products: Lead the effort to ensure effective cross-sell of liability products and third-party instruments, including Tax Saving Bonds, Mutual Funds, IPOs, Public Offerings (POs), Fixed Deposits (FDR), and Life & General Insurance policies.

- Asset Products: Drive aggressive sales of Asset products such as housing loans, car loans, and personal loans, ensuring strong loan book growth while managing credit risk parameters.

- Third-Party Focus: Maintain a strategic focus on expanding sales of 3rd Party Products to diversify revenue streams and enhance fee income.

Operational Excellence & Compliance:

- Audit Excellence: Ensure the branch operates with meticulous adherence to all regulatory and internal control requirements, targeting and securing an Outstanding audit rating consistently.

- Quality Standards: Oversee the proper implementation of Quality standards across all branch operations and service delivery, working towards achieving outstanding quality scores in internal assessments.

Leadership & People Management:

- Customer Service: Instill and monitor a culture dedicated to ensuring outstanding customer service in the Branch, prioritizing high Net Promoter Scores (NPS) and customer satisfaction.

- Training & Development: Systematically impart essential functional training to staff on new products, processes, and compliance requirements.

- Motivation & Mentorship: Drive the motivation & development of subordinates, acting as an influential Team Leader and coach to build a high-performing, ethical sales and service team.

Required Key Skills:

- Branch Banking Management: Extensive experience and proven success in a senior management capacity within Branch Banking operations.

- Sales Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead sales teams, drive high-volume product sales, and meet aggressive targets across both asset and liability products.

- Team Handling: Exceptional skills in Team Handling, motivation, performance management, and building capability across multi-functional branch teams.

- Operational Oversight: Strong knowledge of banking regulations, internal controls, and procedures necessary to ensure compliance and achieve top-tier Audit scores.

- Financial Acumen: Proven ability to analyze financial statements, manage P&L, and execute strategies for revenue growth and cost optimization.
