
JD for IR and other Non Investing Functions:
Role: Combination of Investor Relations combined with 1 or 2 more functions from either of fund accounting (clearing NAV), accounts/audit or compliances of offshore fund or AIF or Senior EA to the founder or data analyst for the investing team. For senior people with competencies in multiple areas the role could offer path to be Deputy COO of the Fund.
Firm/Group Profile: The role is for Bowhead Group - Bowhead India Fund - offshore (India dedicated) fund (FPI), an SMA for leading Global Firm which Bowhead manages and an Indian AIF3, investing in listed equities. Prime responsibilities would be pertaining to Offshore business (non-AIF 3) which accounts for 95% of the assets. AUM of Fund is more than USD 550 Million (started with USD 600 thousand AUM 6.5 years ago) Investors include large number of endowments/foundations including some of the most reputed and largest allocators in United States. The Fund has top 1-2 percentile track record amongst all Indian Funds.
Location: Gurgaon - One Horizon Building (Golf Course Road).
Experience: Minimum 5 and up to 15 years of total experience.

Job description:
1. Investor Servicing: Periodic updating and sharing of performance updates, presentations, exposures, attribution and other data with existing institutional investors and prospective investors, answering investor queries in coordination with administrators/COO, CIP. This includes audit confirmations, tax confirmations, ongoing diligence updates by filling diligence questionaries of investors.
2. Subscriptions/redemptions: Coordinating with administrators for these including KYC.
3. Operational Due Diligences: Handling Operational Due Diligences with investor teams or institutional consultants; updating DDQ, Setting up of data room for investors.
4. Side Letters: Working on side letters with institutional investors. The firm has already templates, but every investor has his own specific requirements. This would require coordination with Investors, lawyers.
5. Investor Engagement: Organizing VCs, meetings and engaging with investors who visit Mumbai/Gurgaon along with the CIO. Organising founder road show with the global investors. The firm already has large prospects who want to invest with the fund and no cold reach is required.
6. Non IR Functions: People having prior relevant experience on either anyone or couple of following activities - Fund accounting (NAV clearances for fund), EA to Founder at Senior level, Compliances, Operations, Accounts/Audit of Indian entity or fund, Trading, HR, implementation of AI at firm, data analyst for the investing team. Depending on requisite skill sets the persons time can be spent between IR function and these activities.
Functional Competencies: Conceptual understanding of various concepts such as pre-tax and post-tax returns, hurdle (hard/soft/relative), calculation of performance fee, fee reversals, drawdowns, holding analysis and attribution metrices of the Fund over time - market cap based and sector based, portfolio concentration. Understanding of various benchmarks, ADV, PE and other terms related to investment landscape are required to answer queries of investors.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, self-driven, process oriented and organised with an eye for detail, able to process and remember numbers. Experience of having worked on Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. The job involves coordinating with the CIO, COO, administrator, lawyers and investing team to answer queries of existing and prospective investors. The person should be capable of independently and logically answering larger number of regular/standard queries based on experience and by referring to firm database of past responses, side letters and ODDs and in coordination with COO, administrators, Founder.
Long Innings: The firm shares carry with mid and senior people (not junior) over a longer time horizon - 3 years. The job is therefore suitable for people with a long-term mindset.
