Key Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable Management


- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, and payments.


- Ensure accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and reimbursements.


- Resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor queries, and payment issues efficiently.


- Maintain accurate vendor records and ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.


Team Leadership & Development


- Lead and mentor a team of AP professionals.


- Allocate work, monitor performance, and provide guidance on process adherence and best practices.


- Conduct regular performance reviews and support career development of team members.


- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture within the AP team.


Process Improvement & Compliance


- Identify gaps in AP processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control.


- Ensure adherence to internal controls, company policies, and statutory regulations.


- Streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize vendor payment cycles.


- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and process transparency.


Stakeholder Management


- Liaise with vendors, internal finance teams, procurement, and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.


- Coordinate with treasury for cash flow planning and timely vendor payments.


- Provide management reporting on AP KPIs, aging, and process performance.


Qualifications & Skills Required:


Experience:


- 8 - 10 years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or finance operations.


- Proven track record of managing end-to-end AP processes in a large organization.


Technical Skills:


- Strong understanding of accounting principles, AP policies, and statutory compliance.


- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, or equivalent).


- Advanced Excel and reporting skills.


- Experience in process improvement, automation, and digital AP solutions is a plus.


Soft Skills:


- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.


- Analytical thinking with attention to detail.


- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.


- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
