Due to the continuous growth of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role will evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and challenge yourself to take on additional projects and responsibilities as they present themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for owning the design and delivery of entire Data Analytics solutions based on business requirements, bringing them from the initial idea-generation phase to implementation independently.

- Design and develop credit risk models using statistical techniques to identify and quantify risk exposures.

- Translate business problems into data stories, providing intuitive insights that steer critical business decisions.

- Organize and analyze large datasets to uncover trends and produce meaningful risk reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Perform deep-dive impact analysis of credit risk models and conduct both ad hoc and cyclical financial analysis across portfolios.

- Prepare use case narratives of models for new and existing products and provide recommendations based on the company's risk tolerance.

- Own the ongoing operations, maintenance, and monitoring of credit risk models to ensure data quality and reporting accuracy.

- Leverage available technologies to automate reporting mechanisms for tracking risk profiles and monitoring exposure.

- Anticipate data needs and partner with Data Engineering to ensure the reliability of the credit risk platform.

- Serve as a "force multiplier" within the team by coaching and mentoring junior colleagues on data analytics best practices.

- Support the creation of risk policies and ensure these are operationalised to manage various aspects across business, including supporting the implementation, adherence and maintenance of Credit Risk Policies;

- Continuously liaise with key stakeholders across the business to understand business priorities/requirements and requirements and identify associated risks to support with business decisions, to adjust credit risk models;

- Develop strong business relationships with key internal stakeholders across finance, fintech and other cross functional teams.

Qualifications & Skills:

- 5+ years of relevant experience gained in a quantitative role, preferably within finance, banking or related field;

- You have an academic degree (MSc or PhD), preferably in a quantitative field - preferably a Master's degree.

- Proven experience in executing big data analytics projects in an industry setting.

- Advanced knowledge of SQL, Python, Pyspark and/ or other statistical and advanced programming languages.

- Experience in credit risk is a big plus.

- Problem solving ability, analytical mindset aligned with high attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and ability to effectively convey difficult or complex information in an easy to understand manner while adapting style and approach based on the seniority of applicable stakeholders.

- Familiarity with Big data platforms ( Snowflake, AWS) and version control is a plus.

- Experience of working with ETL and Data Modelling tools like Airflow, Dagster and DBT is a plus.

- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau is a plus.

- Self-starter, who is able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet required deadlines.
