Job Summary:
The Head of Quality is responsible for leading the organization's Quality & strategies, ensuring robust Business Process Management (BPM), and driving continuous improvement across all functions. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 standards, fosters a culture of quality, and integrates Industry 4.0 methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Business Intelligence & transformational tools. Also enables Robotic Process automation to enhance Designs , optimize Product defects , improve Service Quality ,Operational excellence & Customer Experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Develop and enforce QA/QC policies, procedures, and standards.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure successful certification, surveillance, and recertification audits.
Business Process Management (BPM):
- Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end business processes.
- Establish governance frameworks for Policy , process and performance monitoring.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives in Quality , Design , Supply and operations.
- Leverage data analytics, Power BI , IoT, and automation tools to enhance process controls and decision-making.
Risk Management :
- Identify, assess, and mitigate Cross functional Business related risks. Establish control & sustenance plans.
- Implement risk-based thinking in all quality and process initiatives. Evaluate & execute SWOT assessment & Failure Mode effect Analysis.
- Perform Internal Audits on maturity assessment of systems & convert to action planner.
- Attention to detail on Forecasting & Predictability of Regulatory and Compliance risks. Develop Business continuity plans during catastrophe.
Problem Solving Capability development :
- Build organizational capability in structured problem-solving (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, A3).
- Lead cross-functional teams in resolving chronic issues.
- Promote the use of statistical tools and techniques for quality improvement.
- Educate and train teams on the Core Quality concepts , 7 QC tools , Lean Six sigma and advanced analytical methods.
Industry 4.0 | Transformational Change Management:
- Drive cultural and operational change aligned with quality and business goals.
- Facilitate training and communication to ensure smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Mentor QCC , Yellow belts , Green Belts and Black Belts across the organization.
Core Competencies:
- Expertise in Business Process Management and Quality Systems
- Deep knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Six Sigma, and 7 QC Tools
- Strong leadership in Risk Management and Change Management
- Proficiency in Industry 4.0 technologies and Process Automation
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to build problem-solving capabilities across teams
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Engineering, Operations management or Data science Statistics
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt & Certified Lead Auditor
- Certified Project Management Professional
- 15+ years of experience in Quality or CI leadership roles, preferably in FMCG , Automotive Healthcare or technology-driven Service industries
