Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Payroll Manager to oversee all aspects of payroll processing for the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with applicable laws and tax obligations, maintain accurate records, and manage the team responsible for timely and accurate payroll disbursement. Key Responsibilities: - Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees across multiple locations. - Ensure accurate and timely salary payments, tax deductions, and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc. - Supervise and support payroll staff, including training, mentoring, and performance evaluation. - Review and reconcile payroll data before transmission and validate payroll reports. - Coordinate with HR, Finance, and Compliance teams to manage employee records, compensation changes, and benefits. - Stay updated on changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory compliance, and ensure their proper implementation. - Resolve employee queries related to salary, deductions, and payslips. - Oversee preparation of payroll reports and audits (internal/external). - Manage year-end payroll activities, including Form 16, income tax proofs, and annual returns. - Maintain confidentiality of employee and payroll information. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or a related field. - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in payroll processing. - Strong knowledge of Indian payroll regulations and compliance. - Excellent numerical, analytical, and organizational skills. - Strong leadership and communication abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-state or payrolls. Working knowledge of labor laws and tax procedures. Attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with integrity
