About BondScanner:

BondScanner is a SEBI-registered online platform that helps retail investors in India discover, compare, and invest in corporate bonds, bonds, and government securities. We are building the tools - search, comparison, calculators, KYC and order flow - that make fixed-income investing as simple as buying a stock.

About the Role:

We are looking for an Associate Product Manager to help shape how retail investors discover and invest in bonds on our platform. You will work closely with engineering, design, compliance, and business teams to ship features across bond discovery, the investment/order flow, KYC onboarding, and investor education tools.

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role suited to someone early in their PM career who wants to learn fast in a regulated fintech environment.

What You will Do:

- Own end-to-end delivery for specific product areas (e.g, bond search and filters, order/checkout flow, KYC, calculators) from problem definition to spec, build, launch, and iteration.

- Translate user research, support tickets, and data into clear product requirements and user stories.

- Work daily with engineering and design to ship features; run sprint planning, backlog grooming, and UAT.

- Define and track success metrics (conversion, drop-offs, activation, retention) using analytics tools.

- Conduct competitor and market research across bond/fixed-income investing platforms in India.

- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to ensure features meet SEBI/regulatory requirements.

- Gather and prioritize feedback from customer support, sales, and users.

- Write clear PRDs, user flows, and acceptance criteria.

What We are Looking For:

- 1 - 3 years of experience in product management, product analysis, or a related role (fintech/brokerage/wealthtech experience is a plus but not required).

- Strong analytical skills comfortable with data, SQL/analytics tools a plus.

- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to write clear specs.

- Curiosity about financial markets, especially fixed income/bonds (or willingness to learn deeply).

- Ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and compliance/legal teams.

- A degree in engineering, finance, economics, or a related field (not mandatory if experience is strong).

- Bias for action and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to Have:

- Prior experience at a broking/fintech/investment platform.

- Familiarity with SEBI regulations around securities/broking.

- Experience with tools like Figma, Jira, Mixpanel/Amplitude, or similar.
