Role Overview:

- We are looking for an experienced BOE Power Plant Manager - Desk Manager to oversee and manage shift-based desk operations of boiler systems and auxiliaries at a large thermal power plant.

- The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations through DCS while coordinating closely with field teams and shift leadership.

- This position plays a critical operational control, coordination, and governance role, ensuring adherence to operational standards, safety protocols, and performance benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and control boiler and auxiliary systems through DCS to ensure stable and efficient operations

- Ensure effective utilization and governance of DCS-based desk operations

- Continuously monitor critical operational parameters and initiate corrective actions as required

- Lead emergency response and first-level troubleshooting to minimize downtime and operational risk

- Provide operational guidance and direction to field engineers and operators for execution of field activities

- Coordinate with the Shift In-Charge to ensure proper isolation and clearance before and after maintenance activities

- Maintain operational discipline, shift handover effectiveness, and adherence to SOPs

- Ensure accurate maintenance of logbooks, operational records, and shift reports

- Support compliance with safety standards, statutory requirements, and internal operating procedures

Skills & Qualifications:

- Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in boiler operations, preferably PF Boilers of 150 MW and above units

- Certification: BOE Certificate - Mandatory

- Strong knowledge of thermal power plant boiler operations

- Proven expertise in DCS-based operations and controls

- Ability to manage shift-based, high-pressure operational environments

- Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills
