Product-Led Tech Lead (Ex-Engineer)

What You Will Do:

- Translate business problems into clear, buildable product and technical requirements

- Own system design, architecture decisions, and technical trade-offs

- Review backend code and challenge weak implementations or assumptions

- Own sprint planning, scope definition, and delivery predictability

- Build, prioritise, and maintain a structured product backlog

- Act as the single bridge between business stakeholders, vendors, and engineers

- Manage and review work delivered by external development vendors

- Support hiring and mentoring as the in-house tech team scales

- Occasionally contribute code, but primarily add value through judgement, architecture, and clarity

What You Will Work On:

- Internal data and reporting platforms

- CRM and automation workflows (Zoho ecosystem)

- Property, booking, and owner management systems

- API-driven integrations across platforms

- Finance, payouts, and revenue logic

- Web applications and internal operational tools

Must-Have Requirements:

- 5 years of hands-on backend or full-stack engineering experience

- 2 years in a Product Manager, Technical PM, or hybrid Product + Engineering role

- Proven experience writing:

- User stories

- Acceptance criteria

- Basic PRDs / BRDs

- Comfortable reviewing backend code, data flows, and integrations

- Exposure to CRMs, automation tools, or API-based integrations

- Strong system-level thinking (dependencies, edge cases, failure scenarios)

- High ownership mindset - focused on outcomes, not just tasks

Nice to Have:

- Experience in hospitality, marketplaces, or SaaS products

- Familiarity with data and reporting (MySQL, dashboards, metrics)

- Experience working with offshore vendors or distributed teams

What We Are Explicitly Not Looking For:

- Pure Product Managers with no engineering background

- Scrum Masters or delivery coordinators

- Candidates who avoid technical depth

- "I'll check with engineering" profiles

- Tool-heavy but system-weak candidates
