Description:

- Define the long-term vision and technical roadmap for AI/ML adoption, ensuring alignment with the Organisation & R&D strategic goals.

- Lead the deployment of IoT and AIML integrated technology solutions that enhance product value through predictive analytic insights.

- Stimulate technology evaluation and Proof of Concept (POC) initiatives that accelerate R&D cycles and bring competitive advantage.

- Design and specify the Embedded Products Software Architecture, including the selection of Wireless Technologies and Connectivity Protocols to support the AI/ML strategy.

- Oversee the implementation of MLOps for continuous delivery and automation pipelines, ensuring AI models are reliably deployed and managed.

- Instil a NPD quality focus by steering Design FMEA and Software FMEA at the initial stage for all critical AI/ML features as part of the new product development process.

- Guide AI quality governance improvements through methodical identification of process gaps and lead efforts to bridge these gaps for internal and external customers.

- Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams of Data Scientists and ML Engineers, effectively building a high-caliber AI/ML team from scratch.

- Lead technical initiatives and capability-building sessions that allow opportunities to upskill the technical team and ensure they perform at their full potential.

- Ensure that processes are in place to achieve 100% functional specification traceability for new AI-enabled features.

- Lead interactions with chip manufacturers and digital infrastructure vendors (i.e. cloud storage).
