Description:
- Responsible for strengthening the bid management function, ensuring the successful delivery of high-value, complex bids to public sector clients worldwide.
- Strategic leadership/ stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership team to implement global bid strategy.
- Provide strategic direction to the team on the end-to-end bid process.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal stakeholders and SMEs across levels and departments/ functions.
Excellence in bid management:
- Lead development of high quality, compelling bids for public sector clients ensuring compliance with RFP requirements and procurement frameworks.
- Ensure timely and efficient delivery of bids, managing resources, timelines effectively.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with bids, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all bid submissions, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
- Drive continuous improvement in bid processes and templates to enhance efficiency and win rates.
Analyze win/loss data to identify areas for improvement in future proposals.
- Team leadership and development.
- Use BLS standards for this level.
Qualification and experience:
- 20+ years of experience in public sector sales and presales functions, with 10+years in leadership positions in bid management.
- Extensive knowledge of public sector procurement processes, including frameworks, regulations, and compliance requirements for bids in multiple geographies.
- APMP certified at least at professional level (Association of Proposal Management Professionals (required); PRINCE 2 or PMP certified (preferred).
