Level and role: IC6 & Senior Accountant

Location: Bangalore

Work mode: Hybrid (3 Days from office)

Responsibilities:

Own accounting activities with end-to-end accountability for account reconciliations and journal entries for topics including, but not limited to:

- Leases

- Software capitalization

- Other current assets

- Fixed assets including depreciation

- Intangible assets

- Prepaid assets including prepaid amortization

- Accrued expenses

- Prepare balance sheet fluctuation and income statement variance analysis as part of the month end closing process.

- Lead and contribute to strategic accounting projects and system initiatives.

- Identify opportunities and actively drive automation of routine processes, including leveraging AI tools (i.e. Claude) for journal entry preparation, workpaper updates, and formula development.

- Actively participate in process improvement efforts and document and maintain SOPs and process guides.

- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (P&C, Finance, AP, Treasury, and Legal) to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.

- Support the annual audit process by responding to external auditor requests and resolving open inquiries on a timely basis.

- Support ad hoc tasks, as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor of Commerce Graduate / Bachelor of Commerce Honors Graduate

- Big 4 experience in audit or tax

- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience; prior public accounting experience

- Demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-workstream monthly close processes with minimal supervision

- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with enterprise software (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, Workday), a plus

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong organizational and time management abilities and consistently meets deadlines

- Team oriented, ability to multi-task, and proactive with a positive outlook and willing to jump in wherever needed

- Willingness to work until 2PM EST during initial onboarding, month end close and for key projects for overlap with the US team
