Preparing financial reports and analyse data:
- Ensure all accounting distributions are properly made and accounted for
- Create a Cash flow management system and report regularly
- Prepare company income and tax statements
- Prepare and publish timely monthly / annual financial statements
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Provide precise and accurate financial data to FP&A for long-term financial planning
- Support CFO in risk assessment through detailed financial analysis
Develop and monitoring internal controls:
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensuring compliance with statutory law and financial regulations
- Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
- Research technical accounting issues for compliance
- Review and study all financial contracts to ensure interest of the company is protected
- Coordinate with auditors to ensure accounts are audited in time
- Work with internal auditors to have regular audits
Manage financial transactions:
- Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
- Approve invoices that needs to be paid
- Manage debt and ensure timely collection
- Maintain and renew company insurance
- Ensure timely disbursement of payroll
Manage the Treasury Function:
- Oversees daily management of cash and debt.
- Oversees forecasting of available cash to run the business
- Manages and negotiates bank and brokerage relationships
- Assesses foreign exchange risk and implements hedge programs and strategies
- Oversees interest rate risk management.
- Assists in the development of bank relationships.
- Manages investment of excess funds
- Reviews monthly interest expense and accruals.
- Ensures regulatory compliance like SOX
Manage taxation for the company:
- Ensure all taxes are filed on time
- Focus on GST Returns and ensure offsets are done accurately
- Regularly carry out tax reconciliations
- Respond to any queries from tax authorities
- Look at opportunities for saving tax without compromising on the laws of the land
Team Management:
- Inspire, motivate and lead the team to ensure smooth operations
- Review performance of team & to foster uninterrupted working
- Conduct monthly team meetings and reviews to provide technical support and other related interventions
- Encourage the team to contribute to improvements in processes
- Ensure team is highly engaged and set KPI'S for direct reports to assure performance
