Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Risk Advisory professional responsible for conducting the various assignments of the Risk Advisory department of the firm, ensuring timely completion of the same through effective management of the allotted team and client relationship management. The job would focus on identifying and assessing risks across business operations of the client and suggesting mitigating controls for the same. The role involves supporting the organization in providing recommendations for strengthening internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and improving risk management frameworks of the clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effective planning of the internal audit / other assignments of the Risk Advisory department in coordination with the Manager / Director
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate business, operational, financial, and compliance risks.
- Conduct detailed process reviews to assess efficiency, effectiveness, compliance to SOPs and residual risk exposure.
- Execute internal audit assignments, process reviews and other assignments (such as SOP preparation) as per the approved audit plan.
- Analyse data to identify risk trends and potential vulnerabilities.
- Assess compliance with client's internal policies, SOPs, and applicable regulations in the assignments.
- Identify control gaps, weaknesses, and areas of improvement in existing processes.
- Work with the team and Manager(s) to ensure smooth conduct of the assignment.
- Have clarity on the ultimate delivery of the assignment based on discussions with the RA Managers and Director
- Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of consultants and analysts
- Allocate work, monitor progress, and ensure timely delivery of projects
- Guide the immediate juniors in the team to ensure the substantive testing and data analysis are performed in line with the expectations of the RA Team Managers and Director of the RA Team and supervise them to ensure the guidance is followed
- Assist in developing and implementing risk management strategies and frameworks under the guidance of the Managers/Director.
- Prepare draft queries and updating audit tracker.
- Follow up with the client for the responses to the draft queries
- Draft internal audit reports based on the queries raised and responses received for the same.
- Prepare the initial draft SOPs / process notes based on the process understanding (as per requirements of the assignment)
- Recommend corrective actions and monitor implementation of mitigation plans.
- Assist in preparation of draft presentations for the client Management.
- Act as the primary client contact, identify risks and deliver practical solutions, build relationships for growth, and manage insights, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Maintain proper documentation of Risk Control Matrices (RCMs), flowcharts, and narratives.
- Maintain the desired quality documentation for audits, IFC testing, and process reviews.
- Ensure proper record-keeping for future reference and regulatory inspections.
- Proactively take initiative and contribute valuable inputs to the company newsletter.
- Actively participate in learning and quality initiatives while staying up to date with the latest developments
