- Assist during the VAT/Service Tax or GST Audits/Reviews or Assessments (including review of documents, liaise the clients and tax authorities, submission with relevant authorities, assistance during the verification of documents, preparation and submission of replies with tax authorities, etc) Ensuring the desired closure of the audits/assessments in timely manner through regular follow-ups and representations.

- Satisfactory completion of audits prescribed under the relevant indirect tax laws (eg. VAT audit, Service Tax audit, GST audit/review, etc). Review and replying of tax notices, assessment order, preparation and submission of appeals, coordinate and ensure preparation and timely submission of workings/details for tax assessments and appeals.

- Anticipate and identify engagement related risks and escalate issues as appropriate. Suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identity opportunities for improving client service.

- Responsible for compilation of information for tax returns planning, preparation and coordination. Preparation and review the tax liability includes mainly VAT/GST/CST, Service tax etc.

- Work technical assignments, undertaking research, creating reports/opinions etc. Independently execute basic compliance assignments and undertake basic interaction with clients/ regulatory authorities.

- Update and streamline process, prepare and implement SOPs for improved working and effective compliances with the Indirect Tax laws/GST

- Complete GST Audits/Reviews of assigned clients. This will include planning, resource deployment, interaction with clients, escalation & resolution of audit issues & queries, travel to client locations within & outside Mumbai, preparing the working papers, Audit Reports & Annexures & maintaining the Audit files & Database.

- Updated awareness of utilities in GSTN portal and disclosure requirements in GST returns, etc.
