Bira 91 - Assistant Manager/Manager - Sales

Sales Execution:

- Responsible for ensuring secondary sales, establishing relationships with decision makers and influencers, running promotional activities at regular intervals, along identifying outlet-level opportunities for placement of POSMs.

- Build Bira91 market leadership through out-of-the-box thinking by constant consumer interaction, working on feedback to create consumer delight, and constantly tracking the competition moves and accordingly acting on it.

- You will serve as the torchbearer of the Bira 91 brand, ensuring deep market penetration through consistent stock replenishment and effective process management.

Distribution & Activations:

- Maintain a relentless focus on dominating the retail universe - Wine & Beer Outlets, ensuring ubiquitous distribution across the area assigned.

- Responsible for activations and enrolling outlets, which includes positioning Bira91 products/brand, product placement through various trade offers, and schemes.

- Lead the commercial discussions with outlets and sign new contracts.

Innovative Partnerships:

- Responsible for finding and building unorthodox opportunities to occupy the mindshare of the young consumer in the cluster through a variety of partnerships with independent creative professionals (artists, musicians, entrepreneurs), creating and scaling unique POS promotions and executing outreach campaigns.

Team Management & Leadership:

- Responsible for building a high-potential sales team.

- Ensuring that the sales team consists of the right calibre of people who are motivated and trained to achieve ambitious business plans consistently.

Analytical thinking & Problem Solving:

- Identify and address sales-related issues promptly and effectively.

- Develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and drive sales growth.

- Use a strategic thinking approach to anticipate potential challenges and implement proactive measures.

- Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

- Utilize data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimise sales strategies.

- Continuously monitor market conditions and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.

Skill Required:

1. Experience:

- 5-8 years of experience in Sales, Trade Marketing function in FMCG, Durables, Telecom, and Beverages/Alco Beverages.

2. Soft skills:

- You should have a structured thinking process in identifying solutions. Ability to gather, interpret & evaluate data to identify patterns, trends & insights. Can suggest solutions based on data analysis to solve business problems.

- You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey product information and present the value proposition to convince customers/stakeholders.

- Aiming high, passion to build, first principles thinking, with creative out-of-the-box thinking.

3. Premium Focus:

- You should understand "Beverage" as a product category and have a broad understanding of market dynamics, consumers, trends, and market players.

- You should have exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as bar owners, restaurant managers, distributors, and retailers. Build a commercially beneficial relationship with retailers/distributors.

4. Analytical Ability:

- You should understand various levels of business & their interlinkages. (Mix/Margins/Cost, etc.) and make commercially profitable business decisions to drive business growth.

- You should have a structured thinking process in identifying solutions. Ability to gather, interpret & evaluate data to identify patterns, trends & insights. Can suggest solutions based on data analysis to solve business problems.
