About the Role:

We are looking for an Assistant Manager AI & Due Diligence who has strong experience in due diligence, investment research, consulting, transaction advisory, or a related field and is keen to move beyond traditional execution into AI, product, and project management.

This role sits at the intersection of Due Diligence, AI, Product, and Business Strategy.

You will use your understanding of investment and diligence workflows to deliver high-quality analysis while working closely with the founders, product, and engineering teams to identify opportunities to automate and improve these workflows using AI.

This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys solving business problems, working with data and research, and building products and processes that can scale.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Due Diligence & Investment Research:

- Conduct commercial, financial, operational, and sector-focused due diligence.

- Analyze business models, financial performance, market dynamics, competition, unit economics, and key risks.

- Conduct primary and secondary research and synthesize large volumes of structured and unstructured information.

- Identify key investment risks, opportunities, and value creation levers.

- Prepare investment-grade reports, memos, presentations, and client deliverables.

- Support financial modelling, scenario analysis, valuation, and underwriting where required.

2. AI-Driven Diligence:

- Leverage Binocs' Gen AI agents and external research platforms to improve the speed and quality of diligence.

- Identify repetitive and manual diligence workflows that can be automated using AI.

- Test and evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevance, and quality.

- Develop frameworks, templates, and workflows for AI-assisted diligence.

- Work with the team to continuously improve AI-driven research and analysis.

3. Product & Project Management:

- Work closely with founders, product, engineering, and QA teams on product initiatives.

- Translate real-world diligence workflows and customer pain points into product requirements.

- Create user stories, workflows, product specifications, and acceptance criteria.

- Coordinate projects from problem identification to specification to development to testing to launch.

- Work with engineering and QA teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

- Identify opportunities to build reusable AI capabilities across multiple diligence workflows.

- Prioritize and track projects based on customer impact and business priorities.

4. Customer & Market Insights:

- Participate in customer discussions and understand how PE, private credit, M&A, and consulting teams conduct diligence.

- Identify recurring customer pain points and translate them into product opportunities.

- Conduct competitor and market research.

- Support customer demos, proposals, solution design, and product discussions when required.

- Bring customer and market insights back to the product team.

What We're Looking For:

- 1-5 years of experience in management consulting, due diligence, transaction advisory, investment banking, private equity, credit, equity research, or a similar analytical role.

- Strong hands-on experience in commercial, financial, operational, or investment due diligence.

- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills.

- Good understanding of business models, financial statements, markets, and investment analysis.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong presentation and research capabilities.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and work with cross-functional teams.

- Strong ownership and willingness to work in a fast-paced startup environment.

- Genuine interest in AI, technology, and product development.

- Ability to convert business problems into structured requirements and actionable solutions.

Good to Have:

- Experience working on AI/Gen AI products or workflows.

- Prior product or project management experience.

- Experience in Fintech, B2B SaaS, PE, private credit, M&A, or investment technology.

- Familiarity with Capital IQ, PitchBook, FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar platforms.

- MBA/CFA or equivalent qualification.

- Experience working directly with investment teams or clients.
