Company Description:

bijnis is a technology driven B2B commerce platform transforming how manufacturers run, grow and scale their factories. With the vision to "Take Factories to the World," bijnis connects manufacturers and retailers across India while digitizing critical business functions such as demand, supply, capital and operations. The business operates across B2B marketplace and quick commerce models, with high transaction volumes involving marketplace settlements, inventory, warehousing, logistics, retailer collections, vendor payments, returns and multi location operations. Learn more at: www.bijnis.com.

The mandate:

India's retailers don't wake up wanting to use another app. They want the right inventory, at the right price, available nearby and delivered reliably - without losing selling time or locking up unnecessary working capital. Bijnis is building a B2B dark-store quick-commerce network for Bharat's retailers. This is not consumer quick commerce with larger baskets. Retailer demand is planned and unplanned, margins matter deeply, assortments vary by market, and every unavailable product can mean a lost sale.

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager Demand to own one deceptively simple question:

How do we make Bijnis so useful and dependable that retailers choose us again - and again?

This is not a 'manage the roadmap' role. It is an opportunity to build the demand operating system for B2B quick commerce - across retailers, internal trading teams and category growth.

Your scoreboard:

- Retailer retention and repeat purchasing

- Ordering frequency and share of wallet

- Discovery, consideration and conversion

- Assortment relevance and in-stock availability

- Dark-store and category-level sell-through

- Inventory health and ageing

- Trader productivity and decision quality

- Category Growth Manager adoption and effectiveness

- Service experience across delivery, returns, refunds and support

- Retailer trust, satisfaction and advocacy

Three charters. One demand engine:

Demand at Bijnis is shaped by three interconnected users. This role will own the product charter for all three.

1. Retailers: Make Bijnis the instinctive way to replenish:

Retailers are at the centre of the system. You will own their journey across discovery, ordering, fulfilment, service and repeat purchase. The foundations already exist; your job is to make the experience significantly more relevant, dependable and habitual.

- Help retailers discover the right assortment for their shop and local market

- Make urgent and planned replenishment fast and effortless

- Increase repeat purchase, frequency and share of wallet

- Build confidence in availability, pricing, delivery and product quality

- Improve the experience when something goes wrong

- Use personalisation and AI to make every interaction progressively more useful

2. Traders: Give our internal teams better commercial superpowers:

At Bijnis, our merchandising and sales teams act as Traders. They sit close to supply, demand and the realities of individual markets. Their judgement is valuable - and becomes far more powerful when supported by the right systems.

- Understand what is selling, where and why

- Identify assortment gaps and emerging demand

- Match the right inventory to the right retailer clusters

- Prioritise opportunities and interventions

- Make faster decisions with better visibility and fewer manual workflows

- Use AI to automate repetitive work and surface commercially useful insights

- Manage retailer relationships with greater context and precision

3. Category Growth Managers: Build the system from zero to one:

Category Growth Managers sit at the intersection of assortment, inventory, pricing, dark-store availability and demand creation. Unlike the Retailer and Trader journeys, this charter needs to be built largely from scratch.

- Category and city-level opportunity identification

- Assortment planning by dark store and retailer cluster

- Inventory depth, availability and replenishment decisions

- Pricing, promotions and demand interventions

- New-product and new-category launches

- Sell-through, ageing and stock-health management

- Local market intelligence and trend detection

- Experimentation and performance reviews

- AI-assisted recommendations, alerts and decision support

What you'll build:

- A reason to return: Turn Bijnis from a place retailers occasionally transact into a sourcing habit.

- Discovery that understands the shopkeeper: Help every retailer find inventory suited to their market.

- A service experience retailers can trust: Availability, fulfilment, delivery, quality, returns, refunds and support.

- Growth loops with real staying power: Partner with Growth to create loops built on product value.

- Intelligence built into the way we work: Use AI to make the retailer journey more relevant.

- A sharper understanding of Bharat's retailers: Spend meaningful time in retailer shops, markets and dark stores.

- Product is one lever - not the default answer: Diagnose the problem before prescribing the solution.

How you'll lead:

- Set the product vision for Bijnis's B2B dark-store demand ecosystem

- Own the Retailer, Trader and Category Growth product charters

- Take the Category Growth system from discovery and zero-to-one build through adoption and scale

- Evolve established Retailer and Trader journeys against measurable outcomes

- Connect customer-facing experiences with dark-store and commercial decision systems

- Lead and coach a lean team of product managers

- Spend meaningful time with retailers, Traders and Category Growth Managers

- Create clear ownership of retention, engagement, service and category-health metrics

- Increase the team's leverage through sharper prioritisation, better systems and intelligent use of AI

- Partner across Engineering, Design, Data Science, Category, Sales, Supply Chain, Dark Store Operations and Customer Experience

- Build a culture where teams own business and customer outcomes - not feature delivery

You may be the right person if...:

- You have built products in B2B commerce, quick commerce, marketplaces, retail technology, logistics or another operationally intensive business

- You understand that quick commerce is an availability and operating-model problem

- You have owned retention, engagement or purchasing-frequency metrics at meaningful scale

- You have built internal products that improve commercial or operational decisions

- You are equally comfortable improving an established journey and creating a new system from scratch

- You can think across customer experience, assortment, inventory, fulfilment and unit economics

- You enjoy being in retailer shops, dark stores and operating reviews

- You can distinguish between problems that need technology and those better solved through people or process

- You know how to preserve valuable human judgement while using data and AI to make it more powerful

- You can generate outsized impact with a focused team
