Bid Manager - Railway Industry

Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Bid Manager with 11 to 20 years of experience to lead complex tendering processes within the Railway industry in Bangalore. In this pivotal role, you will orchestrate the end-to-end bid lifecycle, transforming technical requirements into compelling, winning proposals for large-scale rail systems and rolling stock projects. You will act as the central point of contact, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, finance, legal, and senior leadership to ensure all submissions are commercially viable and technically superior. By driving strategic alignment and maintaining rigorous quality standards, you will directly influence the company's growth trajectory and secure high-value contracts that define the future of rail infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the entire bidding process from initial tender notification to final submission, ensuring all deadlines are met with high-quality, compliant documentation.

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and technical subject matter experts to synthesize complex rolling stock and locomotive specifications into persuasive value propositions.

- Analyze tender requirements and risk profiles to develop competitive pricing strategies that maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.

- Manage the review and approval process for all bid submissions, ensuring alignment with corporate governance and client expectations.

- Facilitate post-bid analysis and debriefing sessions to capture lessons learned and continuously improve the efficiency of our proposal management framework.

- Cultivate strong relationships with external partners and consortium members to strengthen our market position during the pre-bid and negotiation phases.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrate deep expertise in managing large-scale tenders within the Railway and Rail Systems sector, with a proven track record of securing high-value contracts.

- Exhibit exceptional proficiency in proposal writing and document management, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions clearly and concisely.

- Possess strong commercial acumen and financial literacy, enabling the development of robust cost models and risk mitigation strategies.

- Display superior interpersonal and negotiation skills to influence senior stakeholders and lead diverse, cross-functional teams toward a common goal.

- Maintain a high level of adaptability to work effectively in an on-site environment in Bangalore, managing multiple high-stakes priorities simultaneously.
