Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Indirect Tax to lead GST advisory, litigation, assessments, and compliance engagements. The ideal candidate should have a strong consulting background and hands-on experience in handling complex GST matters, departmental audits, and appellate proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

GST Litigation & Representation:

- Manage end-to-end GST litigation matters including show cause notices, adjudication, and appeals.

- Draft replies, submissions, grounds of appeal, and written arguments.

- Represent clients before GST authorities and appellate forums.

- Develop litigation strategy and risk mitigation plans.

Assessments & Departmental Audits:

- Handle GST assessments, scrutiny proceedings, and departmental audits.

- Manage investigations, summons, and reconciliation matters.

- Prepare detailed documentation and coordinate with clients for data review.

- Ensure effective closure of assessment proceedings.

GST Compliance & Advisory:

- Oversee GST return filing, reconciliations, and compliance reviews.

- Advise clients on GST implications, classification, valuation, and input tax credit issues.

- Conduct GST health checks and compliance audits.

- Assist in GST registrations, amendments, and refund processes.

Client Management & Leadership:

- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients.

- Build and maintain strong professional relationships.

- Lead and mentor a team of associates and managers.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on tax matters.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.

- 5+ years of post-qualification experience in Indirect Tax.

- Prior experience in a consulting firm strongly preferred.

- Proven experience in handling GST litigation and assessments.
