Role Overview:

The Chief Manager - Taxation will serve as a strategic lead for the company's tax function, overseeing the end-to-end tax lifecycle for the organization. This role involves managing complex direct and indirect tax portfolios, ensuring seamless compliance, and mitigating fiscal risks through proactive planning. You will work closely with the finance leadership, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure the company maintains a robust tax posture. By providing critical insights through MIS and managing high-stakes litigation, you will directly influence the company's financial health and regulatory standing.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end management of Direct and Indirect tax functions, ensuring the organization remains compliant with evolving tax laws.

- Oversee the entire GST lifecycle, including timely filing of returns, reconciliation of input tax credits, and managing audits to ensure zero-penalty operations.

- Direct the computation and filing of Income Tax returns, ensuring accurate tax provisioning and adherence to statutory timelines.

- Manage tax litigation by representing the company before tax authorities and coordinating with legal counsel to resolve disputes effectively.

- Drive the preparation of detailed tax MIS reports to provide leadership with actionable insights on tax liabilities and cash flow implications.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth statutory audits and ensure all tax-related disclosures are accurate and transparent.

- Implement tax-efficient strategies that align with business objectives while ensuring strict adherence to corporate governance standards.

Required Skillset:

- Possess 8 to 15 years of extensive experience in handling corporate taxation within large-scale financial services or banking environments.

- Demonstrate deep technical expertise in Direct Tax, GST, and Income Tax regulations, with a proven ability to navigate complex tax landscapes.

- Exhibit strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data and translate it into meaningful MIS for senior management decision-making.

- Maintain a proactive approach to tax litigation and dispute resolution, demonstrating the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with regulatory authorities.

- Hold a professional qualification such as CA or an equivalent degree, complemented by a track record of managing high-volume compliance tasks.

- Display excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and manage relationships with external auditors and consultants.

- Show adaptability to the fast-paced, on-site work environment at our Hyderabad office, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professional integrity.
