Job brief
We are looking for a category manager to drive growth across all channels(D2C,EBO,Marketplaces and Other offline channels). This roles responsibilities include category strategy and planning , owning pricing and promotion across channels and collaborating with channel leads and supply chain team(Buying/Sourcing/design) and leading the team. You should be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind and have a broad knowledge of the business. If youre also committed to productivity and compliance, wed like to meet you.
Ultimately, youll be champion for categories growth across channels
Key Responsibilities:
Category Strategy
- Go deep, understand where opportunities are and drive the growth- From merchandise strategy to market research and GTM planning to execution
- Know the market/customer/competition: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, Understand connected customer behavior, develop new customer insights, Understand on-line and off-line players. React as and when necessary in an appropriate manner
- Influence the leadership: Convert strategies into action by liaising with cross-functional leadership and drive the changes required
Merchandising And Sales
- Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, Inventory doh and ageing or competitive signals
- Assortment Planning Data Analysis, Insights Generation, Options Planning (Width, Depth)
- Category Health Management Instock, STRs, DOH, Ageing, Portfolio Mix of Bestsellers / New
- Identify the growth areas and new business scope within the existing category
- Drive necessary category led promotions across channels
- Expand options, enable discovery across all channels and ensure conversion
Collaborative Partnership:
- Liaise with cross functional team members (Channels/ Supply Chain and Marketing)
- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions
- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
Must Haves:
- Comfortable with cross channel category management, driving revenue growth, and optimizing cost structures for long-term success
- Can work cross-functionally and influence without authority across teams like channel, Buying, product/sourcing, and marketing
- Have a bias for execution, with the ability to move fast, learn on the go, and adapt to shifting priorities
- Good with numbers and financial planning
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership ability
